The Office of Zoning and Administrative Hearings (OZAH) met on November 17 to review Holton-Arms proposed expansion plans. The Hearing Administrator determined that Holton-Arms special exception application was incomplete, and therefore the hearing could not proceed as scheduled. As a result, the hearing has been postponed. New dates have been set for April 7–10. Holton-Arms is expected to present on April 7 and 8, with community members and other opponents to the expansion likely to testify on April 9 and 10.

A sharp rise in daily traffic with no mandatory traffic management plan—only non-binding “goals”

More people, more activities, and unlimited, unrestricted rentals mean more disruptions on weekends and evenings

Holton-Arms and their attorneys have refused to commit to “no new entrances” after being asked on multiple occasions. Once capacity increases their current entrance will be even more congested than we face now. It’s reasonable to expect they will ask for new entrances in the neighborhood once capacity is approved.

Covenants on certain properties don’t allow additional entrances but other acquired properties could allow them

Holton admits its buildings can hold up to 1,448 students in the future so further expansion requests are possible
